about me

i ended my HSBC life yesterday! :))

i shall summarise my life during these 6 mths before i talk about yesterday :)

started work on 3 Jan 07 with my dear chiki who was already in home loan dept! joined on the same day as clara (card ops - R&F) and subsequently zhiyong (autoloan), lao da(autoloan) and randel(PFS) joined us too! formed a 07/05 HSBC gang. life was good, got to know chiki's home loan colleagues, germaine, jacqueline and cassandra :) formed a super big lunch gang. after a week jialing (banking ops - maintenance) joined us and yeah! an even bigger tj group.

i can't remember when exactly all my peeps left the bank.. i only remember chiki leaving first, followed by all of the rest (except germaine and jacqueline) who all left at almost the same time.. that was somewhere in march when we got our A'level results. was kinda sad coz the lunch group shrunk to a pathetic size. but randel came back! he joined EB ops but aiya, he quitted soon after also coz of his enlistment.

friends aside, my colleagues changed too. when i just joined the bank, my section consisted of:

scanning : JJ and jamie
MD : me, rabia, margaret and irene

irene left in late feb, so JJ took over her job in MD. jamie left soon after and peijun took over scanning. since JJ can't do scanning anymore, they hired haikal to help peijun. BUT JJ left in march too, leaving MD short of one person. so peijun went over while they hired guanyin to cover scanning. so,

MD : me, rabia and peijun

before peijun left in april, they wanted guanyin to come over MD to take over her. so the 2 girls switched between scanning and MD until peijun left. BUT guanyin also wanted to leave 2 weeks later. and so, junwei came!

so junwei, now u know why u're hired! hahaha.

since guanyin liked scanning, they allowed her to go back there for her last 2 weeks while junwei joined MD. meanwhile, margaret left MD too. so,

scanning : guanyin and haikal
MD : me, rabia and junwei

after 2 weeks, guanyin had to leave so, they hired my darling YANA~ :D

for some reasons yana and junwei switched over so yana came to MD while junwei went over to do scanning.. haikal left soon after but boss thought scanning volume was getting lower so they did not hire anyone else to help junwei wahaha.

after junwei left, yiling came and she quitted 2 weeks later so they hired vicky and karen and none of them could handle scanning so both left together. this is the end of the scanning story :) yana have to handle 2 desks now with chris helping her! poor girl.

they're pretty shorthanded now and they hoped i would stay.. but haha don't want ba.. :x

my section aside, back to my lunching gang! still continued lunching with germaine and jacq.. and after some time their colleagues joined in as well so i got to know jayce, jasmine, stella, vincent, ron and renu. but we didn't lunch together all the time also actually..

however i stopped lunching with them after awhile coz it was pretty troublesome for us to call each other everyday to decide who was lunching together and who was not. so i started lunching with weijie (account closure). i also lunched with the happy 3 friends, junwei, jeremy (A&D) and zhijian (audit). and after some time, the different temps cliques merged and we formed one big group! :D cassandra came back to HSBC and she joined banking ops too! :D so we belonged to one big lunch group again :)

friends are the most precious presents i brought away from the bank! hopefully we'll still keep in touch :))

okay, yesterday started off quite badly but later the day there was a twist and my day ended well :) some photos of my farewell gifts!



i really LOVE this! <3

so touched :)) they made my farewell seem so important.. hah.. guess it was a wise choice not to go on jop-hopping~ that seems so pointless to me now :) sorry to all coz my farewell words were so short and meaningless but at that point of time, no words could describe how i really felt coz i was too overwhelmed with emotions. so please understand :)
